17 Poachers Held For Illegal Partridge Hunting

Seventeen poachers have been held for illegal partridge hunting during a crackdown by the Wildlife Department in Kot Sultan tehsil of Layyah district.
Acting on the instructions of the Assistant Chief Wildlife Ranger, Tehsil Wildlife Inspector Jamshed Khan, along with his team, launched a targeted operation against illegal hunting in Kot Sultan and surrounding areas. The Wildlife team apprehended 17 hunters allegedly involved in unlawful partridge hunting and initiated legal proceedings against them under the relevant wildlife laws.
The offenders were collectively fined Rs 515,000, which was deposited into the government treasury. This operation is part of ongoing efforts by the department to protect wildlife and curb illegal hunting activities in the region. Wildlife officials stated that enforcement operations will continue across Layyah without discrimination, warning that anyone found involved in illegal hunting would face strict action under the law.
