23 Suspects Arrested In Crackdown, Narcotics And Liquor Recovered

Police have arrested 23 suspects, including 21 alleged drug pushers, during a crackdown launched across the district over the past 24 hours. Police also recovered narcotics, liquor, and illegal firearms during the raids.
According to a spokesman for Bahawalpur police, teams from Civil Lines, Baghdad-ul-Jadeed, Abbas Nagar, Sadar Ahmedpur East, Uch Sharif, Khairpur Tamewali, and Qaimpur police stations launched a crackdown on liquor sellers, arresting eight suspects and recovering 484 litres of liquor along with two operational illicit distilleries.
In separate operations, police from Kotwali, Civil Lines, Sadar Bahawalpur, Musafir Khana, Sadar Yazman, Khairpur Tamewali, and City Hasilpur police stations arrested 13 suspects allegedly involved in drug trafficking. Police recovered 2.94 kilograms of hashish and 1,052 grams of crystal meth from their possession.
Meanwhile, police from Kotwali and Uch Sharif police stations arrested two suspects for allegedly possessing illegal weapons. During the operations, police recovered one 30-bore pistol and one .32-bore revolver. Separate criminal cases have been registered against all the arrested suspects, and further investigations are underway.
