38 Transport Project Employees Seek Protection From Termination
PESHAWAR, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 9th Sep, 2026) Thirty-eight employees working under the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Transport Facilitation Project have appealed to the provincial government to reconsider their termination and provide them an opportunity to continue their services in the Transport Department.
These employees, recruited through the Educational Testing and Evaluation Agency (ETEA) in 2022, served for more than four years in remote and challenging areas, gaining valuable experience. They fear that their termination at this stage will limit their employment prospects, especially as several are nearing or have reached the upper age limit for government jobs.
The employees have written to Special Assistant to the Chief Minister for Transport, Samiullah Khan, requesting his intervention. They propose either withdrawing the termination orders or adjusting them against suitable vacant posts within the Transport Department, in line with applicable rules. They highlight that the department currently has 104 vacant positions and urge the government to consider their experience a valuable asset.
