39 Agri Interns Get Appointment Orders, 58 Complete Internship

MULTAN, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 15th Sep, 2026) Thirty-nine newly selected interns received appointment orders and 58 completed interns were given experience certificates under the Punjab government’s Young Agriculture Graduates Internship Program here on Tuesday.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Hafiz Mudassar Nawaz was the chief guest at the ceremony, while former Punjab Assembly member Rana Ijaz Ahmed Noon also attended. Of the 39 newly appointed interns, 25 are men and 14 are women.
Under the program, interns receive a monthly stipend of Rs70,000 to gain modern agricultural knowledge and practical field training, which aimed at enhancing their professional skills. Speakers said the program is designed to give young agriculture graduates hands-on field experience while enabling them to guide farmers, promote modern agricultural technology and help resolve production-related issues.
Separately, cultivation of vegetables on one acre of land was inaugurated at the Adaptive Research Farm, Multan, under the Chief Minister’s Punjab Free Vegetable Program. The inauguration was performed by Hafiz Mudassar Nawaz, with Deputy Director Agriculture (Extension) Shahid Iqbal Cheema also present.
