47th MCMC Participants Visit Islamabad Police Central Office, Review Modern Policing System
ISLAMABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – September 10, 2026) A delegation of participants from the 47th Mid-Career Management Course (MCMC) visited the Central Police Office (CPO), Islamabad. They received a detailed overview of the capital police’s modern command and control system, crime prevention mechanisms, counter-terrorism capabilities, and technology-based security measures.
An official stated that DIG Law and Order and Training Muhammad Ateeq Tahir and AIG Operations Hamza Humayun conducted the delegation through Islamabad Police’s newly established Command, Control, Communication, and Coordination Centre. The participants were informed about:
- Working mechanisms of Islamabad Police
- Measures to prevent crime
- Professional capabilities of the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD)
- Intelligence-based operations
- Security strategies in the Federal capital
DIG Ateeq highlighted the use of Safe City cameras, data analytics, and intelligence-based operations for early identification of criminal activity and effective crime prevention. He also briefed them on the professional capabilities of the CTD and counter-terrorism operations.
The delegation expressed appreciation for Islamabad Police’s professional performance, modern reforms, and effective use of technology. They described its policing model as an exemplary case for other institutions to follow.
At the conclusion of the visit, commemorative shields were presented to the members of the delegation.
