526 FDA Applications Approved Through e-Biz Punjab Portal
UrduPoint (18th Sep, 2026) - Faisalabad: The Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) has approved 526 applications received through the Punjab government’s e-Biz Punjab portal while 36 applications were rejected for not adhering to prescribed rules or relevant policies.
An FDA spokesman stated that the administration continually reviews the implementation of the e-Biz Punjab portal to streamline business activities and ensure departmental services are delivered directly to entrepreneurs and citizens.
A meeting was held to assess the progress, processing, and disposal of FDA-related applications received through the portal, chaired by Additional Director General FDA Qaiser Abbas Rind on the instructions of FDA Director General Muhammad Asif Chaudhry.
Attending the meeting were Directors Junaid Hassan Manj, Yasir Ejaz Chattha, Asim Mahmood, and Afnan Saeed Sandhu; Deputy Directors Abdullah Noor, Adnan Shehzad, Raheel Zafar, Afzal Ansari, and Muhammad Bilal; Assistant Directors Usman Ramey, Mian Ahmed, and Khushnood Ahmed; and other officers.
Qaiser Abbas Rind examined the nature of applications received and the departmental responses. He instructed officers to process every case within the stipulated time through effective monitoring and ensure no FDA-related application remained pending on the e-Biz Punjab portal.
He emphasized providing entrepreneurs and citizens with all possible departmental services, information, and guidance through the portal to simplify, enhance transparency, and expedite business-related processes. He made it clear that any delay in providing facilities would not be tolerated.
Rind directed FDA officials to keep applicants informed about the progress and departmental actions on their applications, reducing the need for frequent office visits. He further instructed officers to monitor portal applications regularly and promptly inform applicants if a case lacked required documents or failed to meet procedural requirements while offering guidance to resolve deficiencies.
Noting the initiative's aim of providing "your business, your convenience, at your doorstep," Rind highlighted its importance in promoting business activity, ensuring easier access to government services, and enhancing transparency and speed in governmental affairs. He added that the digital platform benefits both entrepreneurs and citizens by simplifying interactions with government departments.
