5th European Film Festival Returns to Pakistan: Celebration of Stories, Culture, Connection

ISLAMABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 10th Sep, 2026) The 5th European Film Festival (EUFF) is set to return to Pakistan this weekend, with events scheduled across Islamabad, Sialkot, and Jamshoro/Hyderabad.
The festival aims to bring audiences together through European and Pakistani cinema, live performances, interactive experiences, and cultural exchange.
Presented by the European Union and curated by Olomopolo Media, the festival will showcase:
- European feature films, documentaries, and experimental shorts
- A curated selection of Pakistani short films
- Live performances
- A children’s segment with a family-friendly European film
- Interactive installations, including "EUFF-Pakistan Express"
- An industry session for filmmakers
The festival builds on the success of previous editions held in Gilgit, Quetta, Peshawar, Gujrat, Faisalabad, Multan, Lahore, Karachi, and Islamabad, focusing on cultural exchange and dialogue through cinema.
This year’s events will take place:
- Islamabad: September 12-13 at the Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA)
- Sialkot: September 16-17 at Government College Women University and GRID by BLCK
- Jamshoro/Hyderabad: September 29-30 at SABS University of Art, Design & Heritage.
A live musical performance will close the festival.
The 5th European Film Festival (EUFF) 2026 is curated and organized by Olomopolo Media.
