Sialkot (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 7th Sep, 2026): A delegation of educationists and academicians visited the Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal Center of Excellence at Government College Women University Sialkot (GCWUS on Monday. The visiting delegation included:
- National Distinguished Professor at the Centre of Excellence in Solid State Physics, Prof. Dr. Shehzad Naseem
- Department of Physics Chairperson at LCWU, Prof. Dr. Safia Anjum
- Dean of Natural Sciences at UET Lahore, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Shahid Rafiq
- Lok Virsa Executive Director, Dr. Waqas Saleem.
They were present as external examiners and supervisors for the PhD Viva Voce of Ms. Nafisa Tabassum, a scholar in the Department of Physics.
During their tour, the delegation praised the center’s efforts to promote the intellectual, literary, and philosophical legacy of the national poet among students. A student recited verses from Allama Iqbal’s poetry, highlighting the university’s vibrant cultural scene.
The university administration stated that the visit underscores GCWUS’s commitment to academic excellence, research quality, and preserving Pakistan’s intellectual heritage.
