ACE Attock Nabs Agriculture Official for Allegedly Taking Rs25,000 Bribe
ATTOCK, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 8th Sep, 2026) The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) Attock arrested a field assistant of the Agriculture Department during a trap raid for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs25,000 from a citizen, officials said on Tuesday.
According to an official spokesperson, Field Assistant Sajid Siddiqui was arrested after the ACE team recovered marked Currency notes worth Rs25,000 from his possession. The raid was conducted under the supervision of Civil Judge/Magistrate Abdul Khanki and led by ACE Attock Circle Officer, while the anti-corruption team was headed by Jehanzeb Khan.
The spokesperson said the accused had allegedly demanded Rs25,000 from a citizen in return for an official favor. Following receipt of the complaint, the ACE arranged a trap and caught the official allegedly receiving the marked cash from the complainant.
A case, FIR No. 03/26 dated September 7, 2026, has been registered against the accused at the Anti-Corruption Police Station, Attock. Further investigation is under way, while legal proceedings against the accused would be conducted in accordance with the law, the spokesperson added.
