ACP, KMC Celebrate Defence Day With Grand Qawwali Night

Metropolitan Corporation (KMC), organised a Qawwali Night at the historic Burns Garden on the occasion of Defence Day of Pakistan, observed on September 6.
A large number of citizens attended the event, held to commemorate the national day.
Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab, President Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi Mohammad Ahmed Shah, Chairman Music Committee Amjad Hussain Shah, Administrative Director Shakeel Khan, members of the Governing Body and other distinguished guests were present on the occasion.
The programme commenced with the national anthem, followed by performances of national and patriotic songs.
Singers Hanif Ikhlaq, Ameer Ali, Shahzaib and Aroosa Ali delivered impressive performances, while renowned Pakistani Qawwals Fareed Ayaz and Abu Muhammad, along with their group, captivated the audience with their spirited qawwalis. The national and patriotic songs, along with the qawwali performances, evoked a strong sense of patriotism and national spirit among the audience. The programme was hosted by Noman Khan.
At the conclusion of the event, Mayor Murtaza Wahab raised slogans of “Pakistan Zindabad”, which were enthusiastically echoed by the audience.
