Governments and cyber-security agencies worldwide are racing to contain a significant flaw in internet technology, after AI uncovered critical vulnerabilities in the PHP platform, used by 70% of websites, including Wikipedia and e-commerce sites.
Cyber-security firms characterized the issue as the "most severe" ever detected, while OpenAI, responsible for the discovery, called it "one of the most impactful security issues in recent memory."
