AJK Begins Preparations for Eid Milad Un Nabi (PBUH) with Religious Enthusiasm

AJK is gearing up to celebrate Eid Milad un Nabi (PBUH), the Birth Day of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), on August 26 (Wednesday), 2026, with exceptional religious zeal and fervor.

All across AJK, cities, towns, and villages are being adorned with lights and banners depicting celebrations for this sacred day. Gates are being erected in major roads and streets, and private and public buildings will be illuminated with colored lights at night to mark the occasion.

The preparations include special prayers at Fajr in mosques across Azad Jammu Kashmir and Indian-occupied Kashmir, emphasizing Islamic teachings, unity, and progress for the Muslim ummah, as well as the liberation of all occupied Muslim homelands.

Processions and ‘Mahaafil e Milad’ (evening gatherings) will be held in towns and cities throughout Azad Jammu Kashmir to commemorate this significant day. Major ceremonies will take place in cities like Muzaffarabad, Mirpur, Kotli, Bagh, Rawalakot, Palandri, Bhimber, Jhelum Valley, Neelam Valley, and all tehsil headquarters and villages.
