(FAISALABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 31st Aug, 2026)) The electoral contest for the Faisalabad Women Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FWCCI) for 2026-28 ended prematurely as all 16 candidates were declared elected unopposed.

According to the Election Commission, all nomination papers submitted by the candidates were valid, resulting in the unopposed election of eight members from the Corporate Class and eight from the Associate Class.

Election Commission members Tasgheera Tajammul, Zeb-un-Nisa, and Sunaila Sharif stated that the entire process followed the scheduled timeline. They noted that the number of candidates matched the available seats, leading to no contests and, consequently, no polling required.

The newly elected members will represent the Faisalabad Women Chamber of Commerce & Industry for the next two years (2026-2028).

The Election Commission emphasized that the scrutiny process completion formally initiated the new body’s activities, allowing it to advocate for women entrepreneurs and the Faisalabad business community.

The unopposed election also reflected a consensus among candidates regarding the new governing body’s composition, enabling a smooth transition into their two-year term without a contested polling process.
