Alleged Police Raid On Mian Mahmoodur Rasheed’s Home; PTI Leader’s Daughter Makes Serious Allegations

Masked personnel allegedly entered the house, vandalised it and behaved abusively with her mother, who suffered an eye injury and became semi-conscious after her condition deteriorated, Maryam Kulsoom Akram said in an X post.
LAHORE (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 14th Sep, 2026) A response has emerged from the daughter of imprisoned senior Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader and former provincial minister Mian Mahmoodur Rasheed regarding an alleged police raid on his residence.
Mian Mahmoodur Rasheed’s daughter, Maryam Kulsoom Akram, alleged on X that police carried out an operation at her parents’ residence, vandalised the property and behaved abusively with her ailing mother. She wrote that a large contingent of masked police raided her father’s home the previous night.
According to neighbours and eyewitnesses, around 25 masked police personnel and unidentified individuals suddenly broke down the door and entered the house.
She stated that upon entering, the police severely vandalised household items and furniture and created a commotion. The police allegedly treated her mother abusively, and during this mistreatment, her mother suffered a serious injury to her eye. Her condition deteriorated, causing her to collapse on the floor and become semi-conscious.
Maryam Kulsoom Akram questioned the limits of political revenge and brutality, stating that even their elderly parents’ homes were no longer safe. She expressed concern about her sick mother’s eye injury, adding that she had run out of words to describe the incident.
