ANF arrests 10, recovers 70.26 kg drugs in seven operations
RAWALPINDI, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 8th Sep, 2026) The **Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF)**on Tuesday conducted seven operations in various cities and arrested 10 accused, recovering 70.26 kilograms (kg) of narcotics worth over Rs 12.3 million.
According to the ANF spokesperson, during an operation near a university in Attock, ANF recovered 300 grams of heroin from a suspect. During interrogation, the arrested suspect admitted to selling drugs to students of educational institutions.
In an international drug interdiction operation at Peshawar Airport, 2.595 kg of ice soaked in clothes were recovered from the baggage of a passenger travelling to Bahrain.
During domestic drug interdiction, ANF recovered:
- 8.4 kg of opium
- Three 30-bore pistols and one MP5 with two empty magazines
- from four suspects near District Kasur.
Near Hyderabad, six kgs of hashish were recovered from a suspect.
Near Chungi No. 26, Islamabad, 1.2 kgs of hashish, one kg of ice and 500 grams of heroin were recovered from a suspect.
Near Dalbandin, District Chagai, 41 kg of opium, 2.5 kg of heroin and 750 grams of ice were seized from three unattended vehicles.
In an inter-provincial drug interdiction operation near Kot Abdul Malik Toll Plaza, Lahore, six kg of hashish were seized from a motorcyclist.
Cases have been registered under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act (CNSA), 1997, and further investigation is underway.
