ANF Seizes Over 42 Kg Of Drugs In Five Operations

Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) on Wednesday conducted five operations in various cities across the country, leading to the arrest of four individuals and the recovery of 42.282 kg of drugs, along with Rs10.075 million in cash.

Here are the details:

  • During international drug interdiction at Peshawar Airport, officials seized 320 grams of hashish from a passenger travelling to Dubai and arrested them.
  • At Islamabad Airport, 48,298 Xanax tablets weighing 6.762 kg were recovered from a passenger’s baggage destined for Riyadh.
  • In a domestic operation near Chak No. 222, Faisalabad, ANF recovered 28.8 kg of hashish, 2.4 kg of opium, and Rs10.075 million from a house, arresting one person.
  • At an Islamabad courier office in Sector I-9, 3.6 kg of hashish was found hidden inside a parcel.
  • In an inter-provincial operation near Sher Shah Toll Plaza, Multan, 400 grams of ice were recovered from a suspect.

Cases have been registered under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act (CNSA), 1997, and investigations are ongoing.
