Ariana Grande completes tour and steps back from public life

Ariana Grande Completes Tour and Steps Back from Public Life

BBC News reports that Ariana Grande has wrapped up her Eternal Sunshine tour and is taking a step back from public life.

The singer’s emotional farewell from the tour included a powerful performance of "One Last Time," which held extra significance as an anthem for the survivors of the 2017 Manchester terror attack.

"London, I’m going to need you to help me on this one," she said, kneeling down to connect with the audience.

Last month, Grande announced a break from all future public appearances due to months of intense speculation about her health and appearance. This includes withdrawing from a production of Sunday in the Park with George at London’s Barbican next summer.

Despite a foot injury, Grande showcased no signs of fragility on stage, dancing energetically with her dancers. However, her voice did falter during "Nowhere," but she quickly regained her composure.

In her emotional finale, Grande expressed gratitude to her fans:

"This has been one of the most beautiful extraordinary experiences of my life and I just wanted to express my gratitude without sobbing completely… I have loved every minute of this with you all and I just wanted to make sure I express how grateful I am."

Grande’s decision to step back comes after concerns about her weight and "endless, ongoing public scrutiny," as stated by her publicist. She emphasized that she made this choice from a "thoughtful, empowered place" and had planned it "a long time ago."
