SIALKOT, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 6th Sep, 2026) State Minister for Planning and Development, Chaudhry Armaghan Subhani, has paid tribute to the martyrs and Ghazis who demonstrated exceptional courage and made sacrifices in defence of Pakistan during the 1965 war.

In his message on the occasion of September 6, Pakistan Defence Day, the State Minister said the nation salutes all those who wrote a remarkable chapter of bravery while protecting the homeland. He stated that the freedom and security enjoyed by the nation are deeply linked to the unforgettable sacrifices of the martyrs and Ghazis.

Chaudhry Armaghan Subhani noted that Defence Day provides an opportunity to remember the courage, determination, and sacrifices of Pakistan’s armed forces and to pay homage to those who laid down their lives for the country.

The State Minister mentioned that the Hilal-e-Istaqlal was conferred upon the people of Sialkot, who wrote a golden history of bravery by sacrificing their lives for defending the motherland near Sialkot during the Sept 6, 1965 Indo-Pak war.
