ATC Sends Falak Javed To Jail On Judicial Remand In Jinnah House Attack Case

UrduPoint (September 28, 2026) - An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Monday sent Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf activist Falak Javed to jail on judicial remand in the Jinnah House attack case.

Police produced Falak Javed before the court after the completion of her physical remand and sought an extension to continue their investigation, as they required forensic examinations of her social media accounts and mobile phone. However, Falak Javed's counsel opposed the extension.

The court reserved its decision on the police request and subsequently rejected the plea for further physical remand. The ATC sent Falak Javed to jail on a 14-day judicial remand, directing that she be produced before the court upon completion of the period.

Sarwar Road police had registered the case against several PTI leaders and workers on charges of attacking Jinnah House, the official residence of the Lahore corps commander, during the May 9 riots.
