Aurangzeb Says Economic Reforms Boost Investor Confidence in Pakistan

Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb on Monday said the government’s economic measures had helped strengthen investor confidence and create a more conducive environment for foreign investment in Pakistan.
Speaking to a private television channel, the finance minister stated that foreign investors were closely monitoring the country’s economic outlook and evaluating its potential for sustained growth. He noted that these investors largely belonged to the category of those who traditionally seek opportunities in emerging markets.
Senator Aurangzeb expressed optimism about attracting foreign investment and improving Pakistan’s economic prospects. He believed that continued progress on economic reforms would further enhance the country’s appeal to international investors.
The finance minister also acknowledged China’s continuous support for Pakistan, especially during challenging economic periods, emphasizing the significance of deepening financial and economic cooperation between the two nations. He highlighted the planned issuance of Panda bonds in China’s capital market as a crucial step towards diversifying Pakistan’s financing sources, aiding broader access to international capital markets while strengthening economic ties with China.
Senator Aurangzeb also expressed confidence in an improved credit rating for Pakistan, attributing it to stronger economic indicators and ongoing reform efforts that would foster greater trust in the country’s financial outlook.
