Awareness Session On Postal Ballots For PWDs Held In Nawabshah
District Election Commissioner Office Shaheed Benazirabad organized an awareness session on postal ballots for persons with disabilities (PWDs) at the Special education Center under the supervision of District Election Commissioner Muhammad Yousuf Majeedano.
The session aimed to:
- Raise awareness among special persons about their voting rights.
- Provide complete information regarding the facility of postal ballots.
During the session, participants learned:
- Eligibility criteria for postal ballots.
- The application process.
- Necessary procedures for obtaining a postal ballot.
District Election Commissioner explained which individuals are eligible for postal ballots and how applications can be submitted. Informational, Educational, and Communication (IEC) material related to postal ballots was also distributed.
He emphasized the importance of:
- Informing all eligible voters, including persons with disabilities, about their electoral rights.
- Facilitating their effective participation in the democratic process.
The session was attended by Deputy Director DEPD Riyaz Ahmed Agro, Masroor Memon, persons with disabilities, relevant representatives, and other stakeholders. Participants had the opportunity to ask questions and receive further guidance regarding postal ballots.
