Ayaz Assumes Office Of Acting President

ISLAMABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 27th Aug, 2026) Speaker of the National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, has assumed the office of Acting President.

Ayaz Sadiq is now responsible for the duties of the President while the President is on leave in the Republic of Austria from 27 to 31 August 2026, and the Chairman of the Senate is also abroad on an official visit.

In line with constitutional provisions, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq will continue to act as Acting President until the President or Chairman of the Senate returns to Pakistan.
