Ayaz Pays Heartfelt Tribute to Navy Martyrs, Veterans
ISLAMABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 7th Sep, 2026) Speaker of the National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, on Monday paid rich tribute to the martyrs and veterans of the Pakistan Navy for their invaluable services and sacrifices in defending the motherland.
Navy Day: A Tribute to Brave Sons of the Soil
In his message on the occasion of Navy Day, he emphasized that the Pakistan Navy has consistently demonstrated unwavering resolve, courage, and professional excellence in safeguarding the country’s maritime boundaries and national sovereignty. He noted that Navy Day serves as a reminder of the sacrifices and services of the brave sons of the soil who laid down their lives for Pakistan’s defense.
Ayaz Sadiq expressed that these sacrifices are a source of pride and inspiration for the entire nation. He highlighted the outstanding performance of the Pakistan Navy during the 1965 war, particularly Operation Dwarka, which targeted enemy coastal installations and radar facilities.
Operation Dwarka: A Significant Naval Achievement
The Speaker recalled the operational role of the submarine PNS Ghazi, which effectively carried out its responsibilities on the maritime front and exerted pressure on enemy naval movements during this operation. He also acknowledged the Pakistan Navy’s duties during Marka-e-Haq, ensuring national defense under the leadership of Admiral Naveed Ashraf.
Reaffirming National Spirit and Capacity
Ayaz Sadiq stressed the joint professional capabilities, coordination, and national spirit displayed by the armed forces of Pakistan, reaffirming the country’s capacity to safeguard its sovereignty and territorial integrity. He underscored the strategic importance of maritime routes for Pakistan’s economy, trade, and national security.
