Differences over the creation of new provinces have ended, and after the meeting, Mohsin Naqvi appeared energetic, according to senior analyst Javed Chaudhry. Speaking on a podcast, he revealed that two top figures held a three-hour meeting on Wednesday night, effectively ending all speculation and disagreements regarding new provinces in Pakistan.
Chaudhry noted that the outcome of the meeting suggests that Islamabad will be declared a province first, with further administrative units in other provinces potentially following later.
Meanwhile, Federal Minister Mustafa Kamal strongly criticized the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and praised Syed Asim Munir's role in global conflicts. He stated:
“If one person was playing an important role in resolving global conflicts involving Europe, the United States, the Middle East, Iran, and Afghanistan, it was Syed Asim Munir... Those hurling abuses should remember that caravans do not stop because dogs bark.”
Kamal also addressed the creation of new administrative units in Sindh, asserting that such a move would not lead to bloodshed but rather improve administrative affairs.
He further highlighted the Muttahida Qaumi Movement's (MQM) party reforms, noting that his was the only political party to have removed its founder and leader after he took the wrong path. He added that MQM first attempted to convince their leader and then expelled him when he refused to understand.
The federal minister alleged that the PPP had used the Sindh card to conceal its corruption while also criticizing their past actions in London, where they negotiated with killers and presented them with ajraks (a traditional Pakistani hat) and caps.
