Bilawal Pays Tribute to Martyrs, Armed Forces on Defence Day

Chairman of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Honors the Brave

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), has paid heartfelt tribute to the martyrs, veterans, and personnel of the armed forces on Defence Day, emphasizing that the nation will never forget those who sacrificed their lives for Pakistan’s defence, sovereignty, and dignity.

He stated, "Defence Day is a solemn reminder of the invaluable sacrifices made for Pakistan. The blood of our martyrs is woven into the fabric of our national identity, and their legacy will forever be a sacred trust with the people of Pakistan."

Bhutto Zardari extended his respects to the families of the martyrs, acknowledging their strength and courage in bearing immeasurable loss. He highlighted the unwavering dedication of Pakistan’s armed forces in safeguarding the country against threats, including terrorism.

According to him, "Pakistan’s strongest defence lies in national unity, democracy, constitutional supremacy, and social justice, not just military might. A united nation, standing firm on democracy and justice, cannot be defeated."

The PPP leader recalled the vision of Pakistan’s founding fathers, Quaid-e-Awam Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, who established a strong, sovereign, democratic, and prosperous Pakistan. He noted that their leadership secured Pakistan’s sovereignty by advancing its nuclear programme and missile technology despite international pressure.

Bhutto Zardari reaffirmed the PPP’s commitment to a strong and democratic Pakistan, stating that the best tribute to the martyrs is to build a nation where democracy thrives, justice prevails, and every citizen can live with dignity and hope.
