BISP Chairperson Expresses Concern Over Kohat Police Lines Blast
ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Sep, 2026) Chairperson Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) Senator Rubina Khalid has expressed deep concern and sorrow over the blast at Kohat Police Lines. She called for immediate provision of the best possible medical treatment to those injured in the blast.
Senator Rubina Khalid stated that targeting human lives on the sacred day of Friday was deeply regrettable and condemnable. She emphasised the need for national unity and effective measures against terrorism. She also called for joint efforts by the federal and provincial governments, along with law enforcement agencies, to eradicate terrorism.
The BISP Chairperson highlighted the urgent need for addressing the law and order situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. She further urged relevant institutions to conduct a comprehensive investigation into the incident and present the facts before the nation. Senator Khalid expressed her party's shared grief for the victims of the blast and their families.
