Boy Kills Mother With Heavy Iron Rod Over Gender-Change Dispute

Police officials revealed that the accused, identified as a girl seeking gender confirmation surgery, had sparked a family dispute when his mother and family insisted on medical and psychological counselling instead.
In Lucknow, the capital of India's Uttar Pradesh state, a son allegedly took his mother's life after a prolonged argument over her opposition to his gender transition. According to Indian media, police stated that the accused had researched punishments using the artificial intelligence tool ChatGPT.
The incident unfolded on Thursday when the accused returned home and an argument escalated. He struck his mother repeatedly on the head with a heavy wrench, leading to her fatal injuries at the scene.
Following the crime, the accused called the police himself and confessed to the murder upon their arrival. Police discovered evidence of murder planning in the accused's diary, detailing the use of a wrench, chilli powder, and hot water.
