BRA Announces Tax Rates For Personal Care Services

QUETTA, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 9th Sep, 2026) The Balochistan Revenue Authority (BRA) has issued its updated tax schedule, setting the Balochistan Sales Tax on Services (BSTS) rate at 5 percent for beauty parlors, beauty clinics, slimming centers, and other personal care service providers.
According to the schedule, registered service providers who install Point of Sale (POS) machines, integrate them with the BRA web portal, and issue all invoices and receipts electronically through the POS system will benefit from a reduced tax rate of 2 percent.
The authority clarified that input tax credit or adjustment will not be admissible on these services. BRA has urged all relevant service providers to ensure proper registration, accurate tax reporting, timely filing of returns, and payment of dues. Officials emphasized that adopting POS integration will help businesses contribute to a transparent and fully digital tax system.
The move is aimed at strengthening compliance, promoting transparency, and ensuring that the personal care sector plays its role in supporting provincial revenue generation.
