Burewala Celebrates Eid Milad-un-Nabi With Religious Fervour
Burewala celebrated Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) with great religious fervour and devotion on 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal. Thousands of devotees participated in a central procession that started from Jamia Masjid Akbar in Ghala Mandi.
Procession Details
The procession was led by renowned religious scholar Maulana Syed Muhammad Mahmood-ul-Haq Shah and passed through various parts of the city before returning to its starting point, concluding peacefully. Assistant Commissioner Burewala Jawad Hussain Malik, DSP Rana Imran Tipu, former MPA Sardar Khalid Mahmood Dogar, Chief Officer Municipal Committee Imtiaz Ahmed Joiya, Municipal Engineer Hafiz Waseem Ahmed, Municipal Officer Regulation Malik Ghulam Jillani, Superintendent Majid Yousaf Bhatti, General Secretary Burewala Bar Ali Javed Gujjar, representatives of the Central Anjuman-e-Tajiran, journalists, and several political and social figures attended. Police ensured the safety of participants through strict security arrangements.
People from surrounding areas also joined in large numbers, travelling on tractor-trolleys, motorcycles, rickshaws, and in groups. The atmosphere was charged with religious devotion as participants recited Durood-o-Salam and raised slogans praising the Holy Prophet (PBUH). Religious scholars highlighted aspects of Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH). Langar (free food) was distributed at various locations across the city.
Festivities Across the City
Mosques, homes, educational institutions, markets, shops, vehicles, and roads were decorated with colourful flags and lights. Special Milad gatherings were held at mosques where prayers were offered for the country’s peace, prosperity, and security. The Press Club Burewala warmly welcomed the procession on College Road, with its office-bearers and members receiving the participants. Syed Muhammad Izhar-ul-Haq Shah led a special prayer on the occasion.
