Chelsea Transfer News: Lamine Camara's Move Collapses
BBC Sport reports that Lamine Camara's £47.1m move from Monaco to Chelsea has collapsed.
Although Camara had already completed a medical with Chelsea, two bids were rejected by Monaco, and the deal fell through shortly after the 23:00 BST deadline. The Senegal midfielder will remain at Monaco.
Chelsea had aimed to bolster their midfield options, with interest in other players like Enzo Fernandez (now joining Manchester City for a potential British transfer record fee) and Manu Kone from Roma. They also signed Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa, Maxence Lacroix from Crystal Palace, and Emiliano Martinez from Aston Villa this summer.
The club has started the season strongly, winning all three of their matches, including against Fulham and Brighton, and reaching the third round of the Carabao Cup.
