Candlelight Ceremony Held in Shikarpur to Honour Martyrs on Defence Day
A solemn candlelight ceremony was held at Lakhi Dar in Shikarpur to mark Defence Day and pay tribute to the brave martyrs and national heroes who sacrificed their lives defending the motherland.
Assistant Commissioner Shikarpur and ASP (UT) attended, along with other participants, as stated in a press release on Monday. Those present observed a one-minute silence in memory of the martyrs and lit candles as a mark of respect and remembrance.
The attendees expressed solidarity with the families of the martyrs and paid tribute to their invaluable sacrifices for Pakistan’s security, sovereignty, and peace.
Assistant Commissioner Shikarpur highlighted the courage, patriotism, and unwavering commitment to duty demonstrated by the armed forces and the nation’s martyrs.
