CBUAE Participates in 2nd BRICS Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meeting in India

The Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates (CBUAE) participated in the Second BRICS Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meeting, which concluded today in Mumbai, Republic of India.

The CBUAE delegation was led by Ebrahim Obaid Ebrahim Al Zaabi, Assistant Governor for Monetary Policy and Financial Stability.

Meeting Highlights:

  • Review of BRICS Financial Track Objectives: The meeting reviewed the goals of the BRICS financial track and the progress made by its working groups.
  • Joint Statement: Participants approved the group’s joint statement.
  • BRICS Centre for Central Bank Capacity Building: The launch of this initiative was announced, aiming to strengthen cooperation and facilitate expertise exchange among member states’ central banks.
