CCD Arrests 22 Drug Peddlers, Seizes Narcotics Worth Rs123.1m This Year

(FAISALABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 8th Sep, 2026)) The Crime Control Department (CCD) Faisalabad has dismantled major drug-supply networks by arresting 22 drug peddlers during intelligence-based operations this year and recovered narcotics worth Rs123.1 million from their possession.
According to CCD Faisalabad officials, the arrested accused were allegedly operating networks for the supply and sale of narcotics in and around educational institutions, posing a serious threat to students and young people.
The authorities stated that 13 maunds and 13 kilograms of charas, valued at Rs123.1 million, were recovered from the possession of the arrested accused. Additionally, CCD teams seized 35 kilograms and 60 grams of ice (crystal methamphetamine), one maund and 300 grams of opium, and 300 grams of heroin.
The officials explained that the arrests were made through intelligence-based operations aimed at identifying and dismantling networks involved in the distribution of narcotics, particularly those targeting educational institutions and their surrounding areas. They further stated that special teams had been formed to apprehend other elements and facilitators linked with the narcotics supply networks. These teams would continue intelligence-based operations to track down the remaining members of the network and prevent the re-emergence of drug-selling activities.
CCD Faisalabad has adopted a zero-tolerance policy against drug peddlers as part of its efforts to protect the younger generation from the menace of narcotics, officials said. They added that intensified action would continue against those involved in supplying or selling drugs to students and other vulnerable segments of society.
