CDA emergency service controls two fires in Islamabad
ISLAMABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – September 11, 2026) Capital Emergency Service CDA on Thursday swiftly responded to two separate fire incidents in Islamabad and successfully brought both blazes under control.
According to CDA:
- The first fire broke out at a tyre shop in Al-Makka Plaza near Tarnol Phatak, Tarnol Market.
- The emergency service received the call at 4:34 p.m. and dispatched teams from G-10, FHQ and JCC along with a rescue van.
- They extinguished the fire and conducted safety checks.
Later, at around 6:40 p.m., another fire was reported at Ameen Plaza, Mars BPO Building, Khana Pull.
Emergency crews arrived within two minutes and launched firefighting and rescue operations involving:
- Fire and rescue teams from Khana Tehsil, G-5 and FHQ
- A rescue van
- A Bronto Skylift
A total of 25 fire, rescue and medical personnel participated in the operation. The fire was brought under control through coordinated efforts.
Initial assessments indicated:
- No injuries, casualties, missing persons or fatalities were reported.
- No one required evacuation from the site.
