CG of Qatar in Karachi Calls on Sindh Governor
KARACHI, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 27th Aug, 2026) The Consul General of Qatar in Karachi, Nayef Shaheen Al-Sulaiti, met with the Governor of Sindh, Syed Muhammad Nihal Hashmi, at the Governor’s House on Thursday.
During the meeting, a detailed exchange of views took place on:
- Pakistan-Qatar bilateral relations
- The current regional situation
- Regional peace and stability
- Diplomatic cooperation
- Promotion of economic and trade ties
Governor Nihal Hashmi stated that close diplomatic contacts between Pakistan and Qatar are essential in the current regional scenario. He emphasized the importance of dialogue and diplomacy over force for sustainable peace in the region.
He also noted that Pakistan and Qatar are playing a positive role in ensuring regional peace, stability, and the reduction of tensions. He praised Qatar’s diplomatic efforts to end regional tensions and promote dialogue.
The Governor highlighted the strong brotherly relations between Pakistan and Qatar, based on mutual respect and shared interests, and called for their further strengthening. He also mentioned significant investment opportunities for Qatari investors in Sindh, particularly in Karachi.
Nihal Hashmi suggested exploring new avenues of cooperation in sectors like:
- Energy
- Infrastructure
- Technology
- Agriculture
- Food security
- Tourism
He assured that Pakistan will continue to offer all possible cooperation to promote trade and investment with Qatar.
On this occasion, the Consul General of Qatar, Nayef Shaheen Al-Sulaiti, reaffirmed their commitment to cooperate at all levels to further strengthen the brotherly relations between Pakistan and Qatar.
