China Launches New Remote Sensing Satellite Groups
China has launched two new groups of remote sensing satellites from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Centre in northwest China. The Yaogan-53 and Yaogan-56 satellites were successfully deployed aboard a Long March-4B carrier rocket, entering their designated orbits.
These satellites find application in various fields:
- Scientific experiments
- Land and resources surveys
- Estimating crop yields
- Disaster prevention and mitigation
The launch marks the 666th mission of the Long March carrier rocket series.
