Chinese Consul General Sun Yaan visited Muhammad Nawaz Shareef University of Agriculture Multan (MNSUAM) and reaffirmed Beijing’s commitment to strengthening Pakistan-China cooperation in agriculture and education.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Asif Ali welcomed the Chinese delegation and briefed them on the university’s achievements, including research collaborations with Chinese institutions. The Consul General interacted with faculty and students who have benefited from Chinese scholarships and programs.

A highlight of the visit was the inauguration of the Sino-Pak Guard Cotton Lab, supported by Guard Agro Services Pakistan. The delegation also toured experimental fields showcasing cotton varieties developed through Pakistan-China research collaboration.

Sun Yaan expressed confidence in the future of Pak-China friendship, stating that the next 75 years would be even more successful than the past 75. He praised MNSUAM’s research and academic activities, emphasizing their role in strengthening bilateral ties.

Stalls displaying Pakistani and Chinese culture were set up, and a cake-cutting ceremony marked 75 years of Pak-China friendship.

MNSUAM reaffirmed its commitment to deepening partnerships with Chinese institutions, contributing to Pakistan’s agricultural development through research, innovation, and technology.
