The Chinese edition of Islamabad: The Biography was launched at the Embassy of Pakistan in Beijing, marking 75 years of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China.
The launch ceremony, hosted by Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, Khalil Hashmi, celebrated the book's authors, Dr. Aftab Azeem and Dr. Muhammad Arshad Bhatti, as well as Chinese partners involved in its publication.
Ambassador Hashmi described Islamabad as a modern city steeped in ancient history, highlighting how the book offers insight into Pakistan’s past and present. He expressed hope that the Chinese edition would pique readers' interest in learning more about Pakistan and experiencing its culture beyond the book's pages.
He emphasized the enduring friendship between Pakistan and China, built on deep diplomatic, economic, cultural, and historical connections. The publication of this edition is another step forward in strengthening these ties as both nations commemorate 75 years of diplomatic relations.
