Chiniot Officials Launch Plantation Drive Along Newly Developed Faisalabad Road Green Belt
CHINIOT, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 1st Sep, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Ayesha Rizwan, District Police Officer Dr. Naveed Atif and Additional Deputy Commissioner General Wasiq Abbas Haral on Tuesday inaugurated a plantation drive by planting saplings along the newly constructed green belt on Faisalabad Road. Special prayers were also offered for the security, development, and prosperity of the country.
Exxon Highway Muhammad Ahmed, Chief Officer Municipal Corporation Muhammad Arif, and other concerned officers attended the event.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Ayesha Rizwan and DPO Dr. Naveed Atif emphasized the importance of planting in combating environmental pollution and promoting a clean, healthy, and sustainable environment. They directed that as many saplings as possible be planted along the newly developed green belt to enhance the beauty of the highway and provide citizens with a greener and healthier environment.
The Deputy Commissioner instructed relevant department officials to ensure proper protection and maintenance of the newly planted saplings. She stressed that special attention should be given to watering, protecting, and regularly caring for the plants to facilitate their healthy growth.
Ayesha Rizwan noted that plantation was not just a one-day activity but a long-term responsibility requiring collective efforts from all segments of society. She encouraged concerned departments and citizens to take ownership of the planted trees and ensure their proper care until they reach full maturity.
