Chiniot Traffic Police Launches Road Safety Campaign To Prevent Accidents

Chiniot Traffic Police has launched an awareness campaign on traffic rules and road safety to ensure safer journeys for citizens, in line with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif. The campaign is being conducted by the Traffic Police education Unit under the supervision of DSP Traffic Khurram Shahzad.

During the campaign:

  • Sub-Inspector Ali Raza delivered awareness lectures to students at the Government Technical Institute and citizens at various locations.
  • An awareness walk was also organized.

Citizens and drivers were sensitized about:

  • Observing traffic laws
  • Adopting safe driving practices
  • Avoiding overspeeding
  • Following lane and line discipline
  • Complying with other traffic regulations

Awareness pamphlets carrying safety messages were distributed.

District Police Officer Dr. Naveed Atif emphasized the importance of:

  • Strict adherence to traffic rules
  • Responsible driving habits
  • Obtaining valid driving licenses
  • Preventing underage children from driving

He stressed collective responsibility, adherence to laws, and greater public awareness as essential for reducing road accidents and making roads safer for everyone.
