City’s Two Main Business Arteries’ Upgrade To Complete By Aug End: DC
MULTAN, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 17th Aug, 2026) Upgradation of two major business arteries of the city of saints is nearing completion, with both projects expected to be finalized by August 30, bringing an end to the prolonged difficulties faced by citizens and business owners. The formal opening, expected sometime next month, would restore the business hustle bustle back to its potential at Hussain Agahi and Brands Road.
During a surprise visit to the two sites, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Faisal Saleem stated that development activities have been accelerated under the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif to improve infrastructure and provide relief to citizens.
He further mentioned:
- "90 percent of the upgradation work on Hussain Agahi road would be completed by Aug 30,"
- "while all civil works on Brands Road, except underground electricity-related work, would also be completed by the same date."
The DC expressed his acknowledgment of the inconvenience caused to citizens due to traffic flow disruptions and dust, but assured that the completion of these projects would provide relief to the people at the earliest.
