Significant military escalation was reported over the past 24 hours, according to an analytical report published by an Arab magazine.
Growing Tensions
Clear signs of further escalation have emerged in the ongoing war between Iran and the United States. An Arab magazine’s analytical report claimed that Gulf and regional leaders, who had been working to facilitate talks between Iran and the United States and reduce tensions, had become active again amid the growing cycle of attacks and retaliatory strikes.
Recent Developments
According to Arab media reports:
- Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps claimed a devastating missile attack on Jordan’s Al-Azraq military base in response to US attacks. They alleged that the attack targeted facilities used for the maintenance and deployment of F-35, F-16, and F-15 fighter jets.
- However, Jordan’s military stated that they had shot down 18 out of 20 ballistic missiles in the air, with only two falling in open areas, causing no damage or loss of life.
- The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps also claimed that two US Navy warships, two other US vessels, and eight oil tankers were targeted in the Strait of Hormuz.
Deteriorating Situation
Despite conflicting claims from both sides, the report suggests that the situation in the region is deteriorating rapidly, raising fears of further attacks and retaliatory actions between the United States and Iran in the coming days and weeks.
