CM Calls For Strengthening Global Humanitarian Assistance

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif paid glowing tribute to aid workers, volunteers, doctors, nurses, rescue personnel and welfare workers serving humanity across the world. In her message on World Humanitarian Day, she stated that their selfless services inspire hope and embody the highest values of compassion and humanity. She noted that these workers risk their lives in war-hit and disaster-stricken areas to assist those in need, providing not only essential supplies like food, shelter, and medical care but also instilling hope in distressed communities.

"The spirit of serving humanity transcends race, color, religion, and all forms of discrimination," observed CM Sharif. "Humanity is a great bond that rises above all relationships and knows no borders." She urged the international community to bolster efforts ensuring timely, effective, and impartial humanitarian aid reaches every deserving individual without discrimination.

Reaffirming Punjab’s commitment to public welfare, the CM highlighted the provincial government’s dedication to promoting compassion, safeguarding human dignity, and expanding support for vulnerable segments by offering them protection, assistance, and opportunities for dignified lives. She noted that Pakistan’s longstanding hosting of millions of Afghan refugees serves as a testament to humanity, hospitality, and mutual cooperation.

"Dedicating oneself to easing the hardships of others is both an act of public service and an act of worship," concluded CM Sharif.
