CM Holds Meeting About Reforms in Balochistan Police Digitalization Efforts for Latest Technology Adoption
Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti chaired a meeting on Friday regarding reforms within the Balochistan Police force, focusing on digitalization across various sectors and leveraging modern technology.
During the gathering, Inspector General (IG) Police Balochistan Muhammad Tahir Khan and DIG Headquarters Hassan Asad Alvi presented a detailed overview of 16 distinct digital applications and initiatives already implemented by the Balochistan Police. They highlighted steps taken to integrate different police departments into a digital system, modernize policing processes, and provide efficient, timely services to citizens.
The meeting also delved into reviewing the functionality and practical benefits of these digital tools through hands-on demonstrations. Chief Minister Bugti sought information from authorities on the facilities offered by each app and their impact.
Other key participants included Provincial Home Minister Mir Zia Langove, Chief Secretary Balochistan Shakeel Qadir Khan, Additional Chief Secretary Home Muhammad Hamza Shafqat, Assistant to the Chief Minister for Information and Political Affairs Shahid Rind, and other relevant officials.
The discussions centered on promoting modern technology within the Balochistan police system, ensuring efficient utilization of digital resources, and transforming police services into a more modern, effective, and citizen-centric approach.
