Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif congratulated 126,284 rescuers on achieving a milestone in their training for World First Aid Day. She praised the Rescue officials and paid tribute to those working tirelessly to save lives.
In her message on World First Aid Day, Sharif acknowledged the efforts of Rescue 1122 rescuers and hospital emergency staff. She emphasized the importance of timely first aid in saving lives, particularly during accidents and emergencies.
Sharif stated that raising public awareness about first aid is crucial for a safe and healthy society. She highlighted the Punjab Government’s commitment to providing all available resources to save lives during emergencies.
The Punjab government, according to Sharif, was the first to launch an air ambulance service to ensure prompt treatment during the golden hours. She added that efforts are underway to enhance emergency medical services.
First aid and rescue services, Sharif noted, were provided in flood-affected areas through Clinics on Wheels, field hospitals, and Clinics on Boats. Rescue 1122 works round the clock to serve humanity and provide immediate medical assistance to accident victims, she said, adding that every citizen, especially young people and students, should receive basic first-aid training.
