CM Maryam Pays Tribute To Armed Forces On Defence Day
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif paid glowing tribute to the officers and soldiers of Pakistan Army, Pakistan Air Force and Pakistan Navy, as well as the martyrs and Ghazis, on the occasion of Defence Day here on Sunday, saying the entire nation was proud of its brave armed forces.
In her message, the chief minister stated that the armed forces had achieved new heights of professionalism during Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad and played invaluable roles in countering terrorism. She expressed national prayer for the safety and security of those engaged in the war against terror. “The armed forces have proven that wars are not solely won through weapons, but also through faith and conviction,” she added.
CM Maryam Nawaz asserted that Pakistan had emerged as a strong, invincible nation with nuclear capabilities, and the people's confidence in their defence has never been higher. She commended the brave sons of the soil who stand firm on the borders to protect the motherland, describing their sacrifices as a source of national pride.
The CM pledged the people's continued support for the armed forces. Emphasizing the need for national unity and solidarity, she stated that Pakistan would defeat hostile forces' attempts to create instability with full force, resolve, and determination.
