Code of Conduct and Arrangements for SCCI EC Annual Elections Finalized

Senior officials from government departments along with stakeholders discussed a comprehensive ‘Code of Conduct’ and other arrangements for the upcoming Elections of Executive Committee of Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI EC) at a Joint Coordination Meeting.
Arrangements for SCCI EC Elections 2026-28:
In line with Directorate General of Trade Organisation (DGTO) directions, officials from district administration, police, traffic, PESCO, WSSP, Election Commission and other relevant public authorities participated in a preliminary meeting. They thoroughly discussed:
- Security
- Traffic management and access control
- Emergency response and parking
- Implementation of the Code of Conduct
and finalized these arrangements according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Code of Conduct Details:
Members from Election Commission and SCCI Secretary General informed the meeting about the overall arrangements and Code of Conduct prepared for the SCCI elections 2026-28. The participants expressed full satisfaction with the plans.
A site visit to designated polling areas and other arrangements, as per DGTO SOPs, including CCTV installations, was conducted by officials along with members of the Election Commission and SCCI administrative staff.
Election Details:
The elections for 20 vacant seats on the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry Executive Committee for 2026-28 are scheduled for September 17 next. A comprehensive compliance report has been submitted to the Directorate General of Trade Organisation as per instructions.
