Commissioner Directs RDA Directorates To Ensure Round-the-Clock Public Service
Rawalpindi, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – September 10, 2026) Commissioner Rawalpindi and Director General Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) Salman Ghani has directed all RDA directorates to perform their duties diligently and remain available round the clock to ensure timely response to public issues and matters falling within their respective jurisdictions.
Presiding over a meeting to review the officials’ performance, he directed the concerned officers to conduct daily field visits to private housing schemes, under-construction structures, and personally monitor the performance of field teams. The Commissioner further directed the development of a comprehensive mechanism for continuous monitoring of field teams, with clear responsibility and accountability at every level. He made it clear that negligence, absence from the field or failure to perform assigned duties would not be tolerated.
Salman directed the officers to ensure strict compliance with approved plans, building regulations, and all other applicable laws and rules. He emphasised that RDA’s regulatory, monitoring, and enforcement responsibilities must be discharged with professionalism, transparency, efficiency, and a strong sense of public responsibility.
