Commissioner Lasbela Directs To Expedite Work On Hub Master Plan
QUETTA, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 17th Aug, 2026) Commissioner Lasbela Division Saira Atta has issued orders to officials for a joint coordination meeting with Sui Gas and K-Electric to expedite the Hub Master Plan project.
During a meeting to review the progress of the Hub Master Plan and Safe City project at the LIEDA Conference Hall, she emphasized that the plan is crucial for modernization and improving urban facilities.
The meeting was attended by key officials including:
- DIG Lasbela Range Abdul Qayyum Pitafi
- Deputy Commissioner Hub Juma Dad Mandokhel
- SSP Lasbela Najibullah Pindrani
- SS Hub Pirza Bilal Hassan
- Chairman MC Hub Gul Hassan Muhammad Hasni
- Representatives of the Municipal Corporation, Engineer and Consultant Firm
- Assistant Commissioner Uthal.
DC Hub Juma Dad Mandokhel and PD Hub Master Plan Arbab Ayub Kasi provided a detailed update on the project’s progress.
Commissioner Saira Atta stressed that work on the plan must not halt under any circumstances and all released funds should be accounted for in line with project requirements. She also instructed that roads should not be demolished until corresponding funds are received.
According to the briefing, 30% of Hub’s urban population comprises industries while 70% is composed of urban and agricultural areas. Phase one of the master plan includes six projects, with 140 million rupees approved this year.
Highlights:
- A modern bus terminal and a gate will be constructed at the hub city’s entry point.
- Work on the DC Complex Hub and Officer Colony is progressing, with 40% physical and 32% financial progress recorded so far.
- A drainage and sewerage project covering a 5-kilometer area along RCD Yaiway Road is underway.
- The service corridor is designed similar to Bahria Town, incorporating future needs.
- Underground electric cable work is in progress.
