Commissioner Kohat Division Syed Moatasim Billah Shah has ordered action against government employees repeatedly found absent from duty during surprise inspections of public offices, health facilities, and educational institutions in Kohat, Orakzai, and Hangu districts under the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government’s Good Governance Programme.

He conducted inspections at a civil dispensary and Government Primary School in Mir Ahmad Khel, Public Health offices in Kohat, and Livestock and Irrigation offices in Orakzai. During these visits, he reviewed staff attendance, public service delivery, and routine operations.

Several employees were found absent, leading to action against those consistently violating official rules. The Commissioner emphasized timely and quality public services, stating that negligence in official duties would not be tolerated.

He also inspected the under-construction Judicial Complex in Hangu, where the Executive Engineer provided updates on construction progress, material usage, and quality standards. The Commissioner directed authorities to maintain construction quality and complete the project within the stipulated timeframe. The project, costing over Rs500 million, is scheduled for completion by October.

The Good Governance Programme aims to enhance the performance, transparency, and accountability of government institutions, ensuring better public service delivery.
